Each weekly camp director is responsible for choosing his own camp staff. The director bases his staff decisions on the staff application, references, personal experence, and applicant interviews. Staff applications, which are required for all staff positions, may be completed Online at this website or Printed from the website and mailed to: Camp Wiregrass - P.O. Box 311072-Enterprise, AL 36331 (See staff application choices below). Staff applications are bulk mailed in February/March to those who served on staff the previous summer, and to many church offices as well.
Staff applications are accepted and processed
beginning in February each year. Although directors never choose staff members on a first come/firstserved basis, it is important that staff applications are received early in the year, as directors do begin making staffing decisions as soon as applications come in, so
DON'T WAIT-- MAIL OR SUBMITT YOUR APPLICATION EARLY!!!
Please note that junior counselors will not be allowed to serve on staff any more than two weeks in a row. We have found, that in most cases, heat and exhaustion take over the body after week #2, therefore, this rule is strictly enforced.
Once a director has made a decision to accept an applicant for staff his week of camp, that person will receive confirmation either by mail, email, call from the director, or call from the camp office. As the selection process can take some time, please feel free to contact the office by phone (334-347-0111) or by email (info@campwiregrass.info) to inquire about the status of your staff applications if you are not notified within 2-3 weeks after the application has been submitted or mailed in.
